This extraordinary country house is a secluded retreat in the sunny rural Algarve, between the mountains and the sea, nearby some of the most famous beaches with seemingly endless golden sands. An enchanting farm, amidst storks’ nests, overlooking the vast blue ocean surrounded my magic orange and almond trees, situated between Tavira and Vila Real de Stº. António and close to the villages of St. ª Rita and Cacela Velha.

An everlasting holiday refugee, combining white walls and wooden floors, which is the result of a careful restoration work of a traditional ancient building, keeping its original character and offering the utmost comfort and a high quality service. Six bedrooms (four double and two twins) are served by a salted water pool, an astonishing garden, a barbecue area, and a surprising library with well-stocked bookshelves, overlooking the blue ocean. The house may be fully booked, either by a group of friends or sharing families, on holiday together, and offers a gourmet kitchen, where guests may prepare their own meals.
Whether, wishing to sample the local cuisine, all basic items can be found at the local shop nearby, easily reached on foot. However a few minutes drive, allows a wider choice of restaurants, shops and cafés.
Fishing, biking, bird watching and walking, are among the multiple leisure activities. Golf courses can be easily reached. The ancient fishing village of Cacela Velha, with its 21 one immaculate tiny houses, embracing the old fortress, exudes a truly Portuguese character. Tavira, the Portuguese town with highest number of churches, can be easily reached after a few minutes drive. Close enough for day trips are the traditional and picturesque villages of Alte, Salir and Mértola, retaining the charm of yesteryear. A few miles further, a visit to Spain may be also an attractive choice, providing a contrast to lazy days on the beach or by the pool.
